Popup market
Regional producers, seasonal stalls, and a harvest festival market that fills the halls with colour and conversation.
Seasonal"When empty rooms become open doors, a village remembers how to gather."
— Spassherz Poppenhausen community vision
The community house
The three-storey corner building at Burgstraße and Georgstraße — once Gasthof "Zum Adler" — sits at the crossroads of village life. Repurposed floor by floor, it becomes a multi-use hub where heritage café culture, local enterprise, co-working, and childcare share one address.
Floor plans
Open forecourt with seating, a warm café interior, and space for informal gatherings — the ground floor welcomes everyone who passes through Georgstraße.
Small enterprises, recording booths, and workshop rooms for local makers who need affordable space in the village centre.
Hot desks, quiet zones, and bookable meeting rooms for remote workers, associations, and project teams.
Day-care rooms, after-school clubs, and flexible youth space — keeping young families rooted in Poppenhausen.
Warehouse quarter
The long halls off Tolzweg — once industrial storage — are reimagined as flexible spaces for popup markets, film nights, repair cafés, concerts, and a craft academy where older generations pass skills to the next. Events rotate through the seasons; the buildings adapt with them.

SeasonalCraft academy
Workshops run across the warehouse halls and spill into the village garden. Master craftspeople share practical skills that keep Rhön traditions alive — hands in wood, thread, iron, and soil.
